The government approved the 2027 pension increase. How much pensions rise, who does not get the percentage increase and why you need not apply.

On 21 September 2026 the government approved Regulation No. 177/2026 Coll. From 1 January 2027, old-age, disability, widow's, widower's and orphan's pensions rise as follows: the basic amount by CZK 270 a month and the percentage amount by 0.2% (Government Regulation No. 177/2026 Coll., Section 5). The basic amount for 2027 will be CZK 5,170.
The government estimates that the average old-age pension will rise by CZK 304 to CZK 22,196 a month. It also proposes a one-off payment of CZK 2,000 to every pensioner, which Parliament still has to approve.
