Don't miss: key dates until the end of October 2026
KACPU Brno's new address, the end of summer time, the VAT deadline and shops closed on 28 October.
What is happening in the coming days and what not to forget.
- 12 Oct: the KACPU Brno office reopens at Tuřanka 1554/115b, Brno-Slatina.
- 25 Oct: summer time ends. At 3:00 the clocks go back to 2:00 (Government Regulation No. 348/2021 Coll., Section 3).
- 26 Oct: VAT payers file the return and control statement (kontrolní hlášení) for September; quarterly payers file for Q3. The 25-day deadline (Act No. 235/2004 Coll., Sections 101(1) and 101e) ends on a Sunday, so it moves to Monday (Act No. 280/2009 Coll., Section 33(4)).
- 28 Oct: public holiday, Independent Czechoslovak State Day. Shops with a sales area over 200 m² are closed; smaller shops, petrol stations and pharmacies stay open (Act No. 223/2016 Coll., Section 1).
- 31 Dec: last day to register for special long-term residence for temporary protection holders.
