Indicative renovation price

Roughly what tradespeople charge — based on firms' public price lists.

How we calculate

  • Budget = nationwide price list of tradespeople's work, Typical and Higher = public price lists of Prague firms, seen 23 October 2026. Where Prague price lists are missing (plaster, plasterboard, doors, partition walls, sockets and switches), we add 20 % and 35 % to the nationwide price and mark the item “indicative”. Electrical wiring is based on the nationwide price list and 2 jobs in Prague (CZK 715–825 per m² of the flat), also marked “indicative”. Where we have only 1 price list, the item says so.
  • Areas are calculated from your dimensions: walls = perimeter × height − windows (1.2 × 1.5 m) − doors (0.8 × 2 m); wall tiles up to 2 m in a bathroom and 1.5 m in a WC; window reveals ≈ 4 m per window; one 3–5 m³ skip per ≈ 40 m² of demolished material.
  • Labour without materials, except the turnkey bathroom (firms quote it with standard materials). Calculate materials in the Materials calculator.
  • Most firms quote prices without VAT. A firm that is a VAT payer adds the reduced 12 % rate for construction work in a flat (Section 47(1) and Section 49(4) of Act No. 235/2004 Coll.).
  • The prices are not an offer; you choose the tradesperson and agree the price with them. We do not include the kitchen unit, water pipes and heating, or the street-occupation fee for the skip.
